Lucinda’s study of massage and bodywork began in 1998 when she trained in Swedish massage, as well as anatomy and physiology. Since then she has explored a diverse range of bodywork techniques. .

Lucinda’s treatments include Massage, Myofascial Release, Structural Integration and Cranio-Sacral Therapy.

Between 2003 and 2012 Lucinda travelled regularly to Mysore, India to study Ashtanga Yoga www.kpjayi.org On her first trip to Mysore she studied with a local massage teacher where she learned the basic principles of the ancient Ayurvedic system of medicine and healing www.mumukshaindia.com

In 2003 Lucinda was introduced to Structural Integration Therapy by fellow Ashtanga yoga practitioner, Mitchell Gold www.ashtanga.com/html/bio_gold_mitchell Also known as Rolfing, this deep body therapy was created by Dr Ida Rolf to align and balance the body by working on the connective layer of fascia surrounding the muscles, bones and organs www.rolfguild.org Lucinda was inspired by the consideration of the body as a whole, the use of movement, and the thorough and systematic approach to releasing tension patterns.

Lucinda travelled to Boulder Colorado in 2004 to begin her studies at the Guild for Structural Integration. Her SI training took part over 3 months of intensive study. The second intensive in 2005 took her to Kauai Hawaii where she studied with Nilce Silvera and Emmett Hutchins, one of Ida Rolf’s first students www.rolfguild.org/about/staff-and-faculty. Emmett’s teachings gave an insight into a more metaphysical approach to Structural Integration, providing a connection to some of the principles of yoga. In 2008 she completed the last month-long module of the SI training back in Boulder Colorado.

In 2008, while in Boulder, Lucinda took part in a month-long Teacher intensive with Richard Freeman@ The yoga workshop www.yogaworkshop.com/rf-teaching. This training included Yoga philosophy, therapeutics of Yoga, Asana practice, Sanskrit and Pranayama, meditation and the biomechanics of posture and movement.

In 2009 her interest in exploring and understanding fascia led her to attend a 5 day fascial workshop with Gill Hedley at St Thomas' hospital in London - www.gilhedley.com/index.php

In July 2013 Lucinda studied Cranial-Sacral therapy at the CCST in London completing a 2 year diploma course. www.ccst.co.uk

Lucinda’s bodywork sessions aim to relieve pain and discomfort by changing tissue tensions in the body using a combination of approaches depending on the individual clients needs. Alongside a structural approach, Lucinda uses Cranial-Sacral therapy to support the nervous system whilst treating stress, anxiety and adrenal fatigue.
